Andy Porwitzky, aka “Doktor Andy”

I’m just a dude.  A dude with a PhD in aerospace science, a fantastic wife, an amazing son and two cats that love me more than anyone when it’s dinner time.  Also I like to pretend I can draw.

Oh, and I read comics and watch a lot of science fiction.  The Twilight Zone, the new Battlestar Galactica (I cried at the end, I admit it!), the original Outer Limits, these are some of my favorite things.

I’m a disgruntled starving writer who is barely kept in check by my wife, who keeps me sane with awesome pictures, singing, and not having me committed to the loony bin. I’m also an award-winning author. That award happens to be from The Chaffin Journal, which most people have never heard of, but it still counts. I have two novels in print, the fantasy epic Shadowslayers and the cyberpunk detective story Reality Check (also available on the Kindle). And if you ask me anything at all about the Incredible Hulk or the New York Giants, I can give you a five-hour long lecture about their history and significance in American culture.
